Theory & Practice Merlot Hawkes Bay 2020 750ml | 13.5% ABV

The 2016 vintage (3.5*) is a blend of Merlot (85%), Malbec (13%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (2%), hand-picked at two sites in the Bridge Pa Triangle, fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured for a year in French oak casks (20% new). Full-coloured, it has a ripe, slightly raisiny bouquet, leading into a mouth-filling, sweet-fruited wine with a hint of liquorice and a smooth, easy-drinking appeal.
